Lighting should primarily serve to illuminate rooms in such a way that they are sufficient for the function that the room has. Still, we can use it creatively to create a wow effect. For this reason, we give you some good creative ideas for your LED lighting in this blog.

Creative Furniture Lighting

You can be very creative with LED lights when thinking about furniture lighting. For example, LED strips can be used on many types of furniture. We give a brief overview of which type of furniture you can use the lighting well on.

Chair and Sofa Lighting

It is possible to create a beautiful effect on armchairs and sofas with lights on the underside. This is easily possible by attaching an LED strip to the underside of the edges of the armchair or sofa. This creates the impression that the light is coming from the underside of the piece of furniture. Remember that the wiring must be concealed. This is easy if the sofa or chair is against a wall. This is not the case? Then you should cover the wire in another way, for example in the ground.

Closet Lighting

An emerging trend is the illumination of the interior of open cabinets. You can use it to add color to specific spaces in a closet. You can also easily do this by attaching an LED strip along the inside edges of the case. You can also use LED modules for this. These can be accommodated more easily in small spaces and are more flexible to move. We recommend that you do not point the LED strip outwards. This can cause the light to be too bright. You can do this if you use an LED strip profile. The cables can be hidden by the back of the housing.
It is also possible to install a lamp in the closet. To do this, you must first place a holder for your lamp in the closet. Then all you have to do is screw the lamp into the socket.

Mirror Lighting

Placing the lights near a mirror allows you to see your reflection better. For example, it can look nice to place an LED strip in a profile along the edges of the mirror. If you are looking for a design idea, you can also place the LED strip on the edges of the back of the mirror. This way the light appears to come from behind the mirror.

Table Lighting

It is also possible to install lighting under a table. It can be placed under the table. This is especially nice when the lower part of the table is hanging close to the floor.
For tables with a glass top and a frame in the middle, it is also possible to make an infinite mirror. It looks as if the table is an infinitely deep hole.

Creative Ceiling and Wall Lighting

To illuminate your rooms, you can of course also choose the conventional ways. For example with LED panels, fluorescent tubes or ceiling and wall lights. But this can also be much more creative. Finally, you can already choose LED strips in the ceiling. You can do this by making a groove in the ceiling. Such a groove is sometimes referred to as a “cove”. And in this groove you can mount an LED strip profile. In this way, the lighting is embedded in the ceiling. You can also do the same on walls.
Would you prefer accent lighting? With a suspended ceiling, this is perfectly possible by placing an LED strip in the groove/cavity. In this way the light is less direct and present.
Would you still prefer to use LED panels? Think of a cloud cover with your desired image or motif. That way, it looks like you’re going to be outdoors every now and then.

Creative Kitchen Lighting

The kitchen is another room where it is very important to have good light. This is often solved by placing spotlights. This is an excellent method for the main lighting in the kitchen. However, the kitchen can be made even more entertaining by illuminating the edges of the sink and certain cabinets. An LED strip can also be used here, placed under the edge of the worktop or at the bottom of drawers and cupboards. It is recommended to use an LED strip profile in these places. This gives the light a softer and smoother effect.

Creative Backlight for TV and Computer

Not all televisions are equipped with the well-known Ambilight system, and in most cases computer screens do not have a backlight either. Bring more atmosphere to the work or gaming environment with the lighting behind the screen, the speakers and the desk. By installing an LED strip on the back of your screen, speakers and desk, you can set the atmosphere yourself. Especially if you choose a colored LED strip.

Creative Bed Lighting and Night Lighting

What’s easier than turning on the light when you get out of bed? You can easily achieve this with bed lighting. There are several places where lighting can be installed. For example, you can choose to place the lighting behind the bedpost on the main side. This gives a nice effect on the wall. It then looks like the light is coming from behind the bed. It is also possible to attach the LED strip to the side of the bedpost using a LED strip corner profile. This way you always have reading light available in bed.
The bed light can also be fitted under the side of the bed. Then the light seems to come from under the bed. If you point the LED strip outwards with the help of an LED strip profile, it can also be used as a night light. It is possible to connect a motion switch to it. This way you always have light when you get up.

Creative Plant Lighting

Plants are not the first thing we think of when applying lighting. Still, lighting trees and plants is a great way to accentuate them. This can be done both indoors and outdoors. You can light up trees by shining a garden lamp or a construction lamp on them. You can also place the lighting in bushes. In this way, the vegetation itself seems to give light.
For indoor plants, you can use a garden pot and place it in the pot of a medium to large plant. If you now direct the garden spot upwards, you can accentuate the plant in all colors.

Creative Facade Lighting

Finally, it is possible to illuminate your entire facade. This way your building really stands out. To do this, aim wallwashers or building lights at the walls and facades into which you want to let the light in. This works best with lighter colored walls.
